Mr.Tomatis

Course Description
7th grade World History covers a wide range of cultural, geographic, and historical topics including Roman Civilization, Medieval Europe, Islam, African Empires, Imperial China, Feudal Japan as well as Central and South American Civilizations. In addition, current events and modern world history will be discussed. The class will include many learning experiences including lectures, projects, presentations, discussions, group work, and regular assignments.

Rules
Here is a list of my six most important rules:
   1. Always show respect for the teacher, yourself, and others.
   2. Be in your seat with the needed materials when the bell rings.
   3. Listen and follow directions carefully.
   4. Only one person speaks at a time. Please raise your hand to help the process.
   5. Keep hands, put-downs, and objects to yourself.
   6. No hats or caps worn in class. I want to see everyones bright, happy faces.

I expect my students to come to class ready to work and stay focused on the days task. Failure to follow class rules will result in consequences such as parent contacts, detention time, reflective writings, and in extreme cases, removal from class. No individual student can be allowed to negatively affect the learning of others.

Materials
   1. 2 pens (dark ink) or pencils for writing
   2. 3 ring binder, with paper, for note taking and organization. (No torn out spiral)
   3. Positive attitude
You need these supplies at all times. Do not rely on others to provide you with materials.

Sincerely,
David Tomatis
