Inca, Maya, Aztec Unit Project
This project will be worth 15 pts. and will be due on Monday March 7th
Please choose from one of the following options for your project
Category I:
Create a PowerPoint Presentation on one of the following:
1. A timeline that shows the major events in Inca/Maya/Aztec history
2. The social structure of the Inca/Maya/Aztec
3. One sub-standard from CA S.S. Standard 7.7 (See my website link for
standards)
The PowerPoint should 8-10 slides with a minimum of 1 picture per slide
and 150 words. All PowerPoints should be burned on CD and turned in or
e-mailed to me.
Category II:
Create a 3D model of one of the following:
1. A Central American Pyramid or city map
2. The geography of Inca/Maya/Aztec territories labeling all major
cities and landforms
3. A terrace farm or chinampa
4. A archaeology-based piece of artwork (No Mayan calendars)
All models should be accompanied by a 1 page historically accurate
story to go along with your creation. The models should have labels for
the relevant parts
Category III:
Create one of the following:
1. A poster about the social structure of the Inca/Maya/Aztec
2. A Mayan or Aztec codex
3. A timeline of Inca, Maya, Aztec civilization
A full explanation (at least 250 words) of the social structure or
timeline should be present. An explanation of the codex entry should be
on the back of each codex page.
Category IV:
Write a three page report on one of the following:
1. The cultural aspects of the Inca/Maya/Aztec
2. Religions of the Inca/Maya/Aztec
3. Games of the Inca/Maya/Aztec
All reports must have a bibliography citing at least 3 sources. (At
least one book)
