The World of Opportunity

The Opportunity Program is located on the JLS Middle School campus in the Palo Alto Unified School District.  This program serves middle school students within the district.  It is a semi-self contained, small class environment with a behavioral component that fosters accountability.  English, math, social studies, science and study skills are all taught within the classroom by the teacher in conjunction with skills necessary to succeed in high school.  The three core values of the Opportunity Program are Effort, Honesty and Communication.  Students who display these core values day in and day out are well-equipped to navigate themselves through the rigors of life.

We have a close-knit, fun-loving staff.  Mark Segesta is the teacher, Diana Wilson is the Behavior Therapist, and DJ Kobza provides academic support.  Deb Lipari serves as our resource specialist.
