Web Design at JLS Middle School: Course Components

Course Components:

Exploration
The process of web design requires students to be self-motivated and to explore available resources for ideas. Given the explosion of new web tools, students will be encouraged to figure out how to achieve new effects on their own.

Analysis and Creativity
In this course I underscore the importance of both creative and logical thinking, with emphasis on understanding the basics of HTML and on creating original design.

Teamwork
The assignments include both individual and group projects. It is important that the students interact, sharing new knowledge with each other. By working together, all students will have access to a wealth of information and ideas.

Service
The curriculum includes an oportunity to provide school service, by creating web pages for the school.

Community
Local Web Design professionals are encouraged to assist in or out of the classroom. If you can help, please contact me.
